Calling all amateur filmmakers! The New Lenox Library is announcing its first ever Video Contest. “How I Have Fun at the Library.” The video contest is open to all ages. Register now so you can start making your video during your holiday break. Videos may be submitted between December 6, 2010 and March 19, 2011. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three videos. Videos should be a maximum of 2 minutes in length and will be judged on entertainment and content. The Video Premier will be held on April 9 and all videos will be shown during the Friends of the Library Spring Arts Festival on May 7. The winning videos will be posted on the library’s website.Entrants may register and pick up a packet in the Youth Services Department or on the library’s website http://www.newlenoxlibrary.org/.
